Tied Up

How do you call your colleague’s attention if in case you find him in a horrible outfit because of lousy wearing of his tie?  Are you the one who is embarrassed to find yourself in a confrontational style, or are you the type of a person who is vocal enough to offer a sincere and friendly suggestion?  If it’s otherwise, you may share this blog to your friends, colleagues and loved ones:

A tie tied too short or too long is an inadequate looking knot that does not fill the gap between the collar, or a knot that shows any part of the narrow end of the tie.

A tie should be tied so that it rests near the middle of the buckle’s belt. A tie that has been tied too short will destroy the entire look.

This refers to any “big picture” tie. The only exception that can be made for wearing novelty ties are on certain occasions such as festivals or holidays like Yuletide, Independence Day, Halloween, children’s party .

A lot of men pick the wrong tie color and/or pattern for their corporate outfits. Choose a shade that compliments shirt and suit. On hesitation, put on a dark navy, or charcoal suit, and a white polo as any colored tie compliments.

The necktie is basically the center of one’s ensemble. A crinkled or tainted necktie is instantaneously perceptible. Ties cannot be washed or ironed because it damages the inlay and drape so always untie after each wearing. Hang it on a tie rack or over a hanger as the fabric straightens by itself over night. Never wear the same tie two days in a row but do some rotation.

The tie width chosen must be proportionate to body’s type, polo, suit, and tie knot. Skinny ties are trendy, but looks out of place if worn with a boxy cut, wide collared suit.

There are some dress codes and occasions that require a particular style of tie. A perfect example here is the formal black tie dress code which necessitates a self-tied black bow tie and a white self-tied pique bow tie for formal white tie occasion.

Common necktie accessories are tie-clips and bars, tie pins, and tie chains. Tie bar can be a perfect addition to good looks, as sleek and as elegant as it should be, especially when paired with solid skinny tie. Tie pins, chains, and collar bars are outmoded yet which has to be avoided.
