2015 World's Highest Paid Movie Actors



Presented herewith is a global dollar tally of film's leading men that they gained from June 1, 2014 to June 1, 2015 before deducting management fees and taxes. Figures are sourced through Nielsen, Box Office Mojo and IMDB, together with the interviews with agents, managers, lawyers, and stars themselves.

1. Robert Downey, Jr. - $80 Million



One of the leading roles of the film Avengers: Age of Ultron. Based on the film, when Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) jump-starts an inactive peacekeeping program, conditions go intolerably crooked, coercing him, Thor (Chris Hemsworth), the Incredible Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) and the rest of the Avengers to reassemble. As Earth’s destiny hangs in the balance, the team is placed to the extreme trial as they fight  Ultron, a technological terror who’s determined to achieve something at all costs on human destruction. Along the way, they come across two strange and strong newcomers, Pietro and Wanda Maximoff. 

2. Jackie Chan - $50 Million


Jackie stars the movie Dragon Blade.  The story talks about an exiled Chinese general (Jackie Chan)who  offers refuge to a rebel Roman (John Cusack) and his band, then subsequently involved in the soldier's dispute with Rome's iniquitous consul (Adrien Brody).

3. Vin Diesel - $47 Million


Vin Diesel, is an American actor, director, screenwriter, and producer who stars Furious 7.  In this film, after beating international terrorist Owen Shaw, Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel), Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker) and the rest of the crew have disunited to return to more normal lives. Nevertheless, Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham), Owen's older brother, is infuriated for retaliation. Good at his job, a government agent offers to assist Dom and company take care of Shaw in exchange for their help in saving a kidnapped computer hacker who has developed a powerful surveillance program.

4. Bradley Cooper - $41.5 Million


He  is an American actor and producer, nominated for four Academy Awards, three for acting and one for producing, and one Tony Award, and named the "Sexiest Man Alive" by People magazine in 2011.

Bradley Cooper stars the movie Aloha, where he plays the role of a  military contractor who goes to Hawaii and reconnects with a lost love while falling for his Air Force watchdog (Emma Stone).

5. Adam Richard Sandler - $41 Million


Adam Richard Sandler is an American actor, comedian, screenwriter, entrepreneur, film producer, and musician who leads the film The Cobbler playing the role of a frustrated shoemaker who finds a magical sewing machine that allows him to perceive the world in a new way by stepping into the lives of his customers.

6. Tom Cruise - $40 Million


Tom Cruise is an American actor and filmmaker who has been nominated for three Academy Awards and has won three Golden Globe Awards. He started his career at age 19 in the 1981 film Endless Love.

In his latest film Mission: Impossible 5 Rogue Nation, with the IMF now separated and Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) neglected, a new threat, identified as the Syndicate, soon floats up. The Syndicate is a network of expert operatives who are dyed-in-the-wool to set up a new world order through a rising series of terrorist attacks. Confronted with what may be the most impossible mission yet, Ethan assembles his team and joins forces with Ilsa Faust (Rebecca Ferguson), a disavowed British agent who may or may not be a member of this lethal rogue nation.

7. Amitabh Bachchan - $33.5 Million


Amitabh Harivansh Bachchan is an Indian film actor, who first gained fame in the early 1970s for movies like Deewar and Zanjeer, and was dubbed India's first "angry young man" for his on-screen roles in Bollywood.

He stars Shamitabh, a 2015 Indian drama movie written and directed by R. Balki.

7. Salman Khan - $33.5 Million


Salman Khan is an Indian film actor, producer and television personality, known in the media as "The Tiger of Bollywood", "Blockbuster Khan", "Box-office King", and popularly called as "Bhaijaan" and "Sallu" by his fans.

He leads the film Bajrangi Bhaijaan where he plays for a man with a magnanimous spirit who helps a mute girl from Pakistan to return home.

9. Akshay Kumar - $32.5 Million


Rajiv Hari Om Bhatia better known as Akshay Kumar is an Indian actor, producer and martial artist, who finished over a hundred Hindi films. He has been nominated for Filmfare Awards several times, winning twice.

He plays the role of a brother to Sidharth Malhotra, two estranged, street-fighting brothers square off against each other in a mixed martial arts tournament.

10. Mark Wahlberg - $32 Million


Mark Robert Michael Wahlberg is an American actor, producer, businessman, and former model and rapper. Kknown as Marky Mark in his earlier years, he became famous for his 1991 debut as frontman with the band Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch.

Mark Wahlberg, along with Stephen Levinson and Ellin are produces the film Entourage, starred  by Vince, an actor deemed the next big thing, four buddies migrate west from Queens, N.Y. More often than not within his reach are his less successful half brother, Drama; Vince's best friend, Eric; and their irrepressible pal, Turtle. As the foursome adjusts to Tinseltown's fast pace and frenzied business arrangement, Vince's take-charge agent, Ari, makes use of his power- often to Eric's aggravation.
